This modern front door design was designed exclusively for Modern Steel Doors by JCruz (front door designer). The Horizon is one of our most innovative entry door designs. The door’s midsection offers endless possibilities and can easily be tailored to any home’s facade. The home style is not limited to modern or contemporary architecture.
Here is an example of a home that has very different interior and exterior themes. The challenge is that the home’s exterior is plain, simple and minimalistic due to the neighborhood requirements. The interior is warm and designed for dinner parties and grandchildren. How can one door design satisfy each of the two dramatically different themes? Here is an example of the Horizon door design in action. MSD combined two centerpiece materials. One material was used for the interior and a different material was used for the exterior.
The client’s home has an ambiguous foyer that opens directly into a great room. Leather, wood floors, dark colors and the aromas of dinner welcome visitors as they enter the home. The Horizon center can have wood to complement the wood tones used inside. OR Leather can be used in the center to coordinate with the leather furniture. The interior door pull can also be different than the exterior door pull.
Outside the door’s center can be tailored to match the exterior theme. Brushed Stainless Steel matches the exterior light fixtures. OR Metal cladding can be used to match the home’s other metal accents. A square brushed stainless steel door pull was used on this door.
The result is a front door that is cohesive and improves two very different environments. See more client doors and comments.
