The Treated Raw Steel cladding is extremely versatile and elevates any home façade. Equal parts soft and dominant, the Treated Raw Steel front door is balanced. The entry door measures 66” wide and 96” tall. The metal transom panel above measures 24” tall. During the day the transom glass allows light to enter the home’s foyer while still providing complete privacy. There is no need to draw window blinds because the metal transom panel sits above the front door at over 100” from the sidewalk. At night the home’s lighted interior shows through the transom glass and creates nighttime interest without compromising privacy.
Treated Raw Steel is one of our favorite door claddings. The finish coordinated nicely with any interior or exterior wall covering. The organic nature of the Treated Raw Steel finish is that it is nearly impossible to make it look bad. Organic finishes are random because they contain many colors and mottling within them. Synthetic finishes are monochromatic and do not vary. Consequently, the use of synthetic front door finishes can be more challenging to coordinate with surroundings.
