Our Arts and Crafts design is truly a conversational piece. It has smaller square windows that are decorated with solid hardwood. The larger square is glass. In this particular example, White Oak was used and placed with the grain vertically oriented. White Oak is our lightest wood finish. We have various other wood species and finishes to choose from. Strategically specify a combination that would be uniquely yours.
The sidelights used with the Arts and Crafts doors are plain - actually, they are very quiet. Our designer is attempting to not create competing elements. Framed White Oak is the focal point and the sidelights contribute blank space. The sidelights and the large door windows allow a vast amount of light to enter the home’s interior space by dotting the line between the interior and exterior spaces.
MSD Dough Cutter door pulls are used to operate the door open and close. These pulls are welded directly to the door frame and powder coated the same color as the door. Welding is a permanent method of attaching the door pulls to the doors. For these substantial pulls, this is the most appropriate solution.
Large metal doors and sidelights can be finished in any one of an array of different powder-coated finishes. There are eight standard finishes to select from. There are popular blacks and bronzes to white and silver, there is something to make that subtle or bold statement.
