This Modern Steel Door is a pair of 66" wide pivot doors. This teak wood and glass front double doors design is called the Crosshatch. Three materials may be used with this door. The metal door frame provides the structure for the very wide entry door.
The metal is powder-coated in your choice of finish. Powder coating is electrostatically applied and then oven-baked. The high baking temperature enables the powder paint to fuse into the pores of the sandblasted metal. Crosslinking occurs at 425 degrees Fahrenheit. The high tech finish offers a very high-level finish that is both durable and beautiful. Some of the powder-coated finishes offered by MSD are textured and some of the door finishes are smooth. Custom powder coating are also available as an upgrade. Choose from our extensive custom colors or send in a sample for custom matching. The custom powder coating match is extra. We match the color and sheen to your sample. This method is our highest level of matching and ensures a near-identical match with the other architectural features of the project.
Solid hardwood is used for accent backgrounds. Modern Steel Doors offers the following stock hardwoods. Mahogany, White Oak, Walnut, Teak, and Washed Teak. The hardwoods are prefinished with a maintainable eco-friendly wood finish. Modern Steel Doors uses hardwood and does not use laminates. Therefore, the hardwood can never delaminate.
These custom made Dough Cutter door pulls have hand-sculpted pull handles. Dough Cutter pulls include a round powder-coated pull bar. These pull bars were upgraded to the Crater Hand Sculpted pull bars. They add a tactile facet to the design and become the subtle focal point. MSD hand-sculpted doors pulls are designed by JCruz our in house designer.
