Homes that have doors and windows finished in anodized black will typically choose our Matte Black powder-coated finish. Matte Black has an almost flat sheen and a deep true black color. Matte Black is smooth and without texture. Other metal entrance door finishes are available. From white to black and hammered to smooth, with MSD, custom finish specifications are a non-issue.
Modern Steel Doors offers two types of custom powder-coated finish upgrades. The first type is selecting from 188 “off the shelf” different RAL colors. RAL refers to the European color-matching system which is used worldwide. Its number is equivalent to a model number. The sheen is semigloss and the texture is smooth. Our second type is a custom match. A sample is required for matching purposes. The sample is sent to the lab to match the color and sheen. A full fifty pounds is the minimum purchase. This option can be very expensive; however, the match is within lower tolerance levels.
Custom matching ensures the most accurate match possible and is the most expensive method. However, it is the most appropriate approach to a very specific color. RAL matching is a good value if you can find a color that works for your powder-coated steel door. There are many to explore, we always explore this option first. Stock MSD colors are included in the cost of each door. MSD exists to sell doors, however, costs are always secondary.
Modern Steel Doors offers durable powder-coated finishes in many colors and textures. MSD will help you find the finish that will accomplish your goal. After the deposit is placed, large samples will be provided to confirm the selected finish. We strive to align manufacture and client expectations. We use a quality Baldwin deadbolt when a conventional deadbolt is desired. The deadbolt has square shaped faceplates and is available in satin black to match the powder coated finish or in satin nickel to match the brushed stainless steel pulls.
