Inspired by nature, the Wave Door Design is not made of perfect lines. Breaking trends in modern design, this door design introduces smooth curves. The Wave Door skillfully combines materials for a head-turning and unforgettable work of art. The substance of the “wave” can be filled with glass, metal, or wood.
Wood as an architectural material is organic, warm, and inviting. Beautiful swirling detail and vibrant tones make no two planks of wood alike. The wood species used in the door above is Teak. Teak wood contains a dense, straight grain with brown, red, and yellow tones. In addition to Teak, we offer other hardwood options such as Walnut and Mahogany. Moreover, clients may provide their own wood for their doors.
Sidelights have the capability of making any entryway all the more grand and adding additional light to the home. Particularly in the case of the Wave Door, sidelights are an effective aesthetic addition As seen above, the Wave Design extends up and through both glass sidelights. This intentional use of sidelights underscores the design.
The hardware seen above is unique to the Wave Door Design. Curving into the door, the door pulls and stands forth in the foreground of the design. The hardware in the primary image is highlighted by a Brushed Stainless Steel Cover. A stainless steel finish creates a brightening effect, while a powder-coated finish remains subtle. After the front door has been established, clients’ next consideration is other doors in their home. Entrances, such as that of a casita or guest house, call for more than sheer functionality. Add an aesthetic edge that extends beyond the front door by combining pivot doors.
Modern Steel Doors shares our clients’ passion for excellence and attention to detail. Our design team has helped homeowners all over the world actualize their home vision.
