The Wave Door is a bold personality. Unique shapes and creative combinations of material work to create an unexpected masterpiece. Inspired by nature, this design challenges modern design conventions. The substance of the wave can be filled with metal, wood, or glass.
Glass as an architectural material is sought over for its natural light and visibility. The glass finish used in the pivot door above is Frosted Glass. The two different finishes of glass above and below the wave create a subtle, yet noticeable contrast. Different glass finishes each create their own unique impressions. Textured or tinted glass is also common.
Combining one or two sidelights with the Wave Door creates an even grander effect. As seen in the image above, the wave design extends across the width of the sidelights, creating the illusion of an even larger entryway. The curvature throughout this design breaks the pattern in extremely linear homes.
The hardware of the Wave Door is just as unique as the rest of the design. Curved and dominant, these door pulls are unconventional and made to stand out. The pulls above are finished with a Brushed Stainless Pull Cover. The stainless finish glows in the light and stands forth among the glass background.
