Arts & Crafts Single Door with Dough Cutter Pulls & Sidelite

The Arts & Crafts design is a versatile front door design that can use other architectural materials to coordinate with your home. Here are some examples of the material that can be used in the small windows:

  • Using contrasting glass will accentuate the design and let in light
  • Using wood will add visual warmth and match other features of your home
  • Using metal cladding will create contrast within the door or match other architectural features
  • Using stone will match other stone features, such as stone floor and wall coverings or countertops (provided by client)
  • Using client-provided wood panels ensure that the wood species and finish matches other features exactly
  • Hand-carved panels allow the client to create a one-of-a-kind experience. For example, Hawaiian motifs can be carved into the vacation home's front door panels

The large glass panel can receive many types of glass. Clear low e glass is used most often in the large panel. This ensures that plenty of light enters the home and that the center of attention remains on the accent windows. The small windows are the focal point and the large pane of clear glass guides the viewer's focus to the accent windows.

The shown Arts & Crafts front door is a simple combination of glass and metal. Here is a list of what was used

  • Architectural White powder-coated door finish
  • Plain sidelite with clear Low E glass
  • Large door glass pane with clear Low E glass
  • Small accent windows with a combination of vertical glass texture on one side and horizontal texture on the other side. This created a unique look that changes with your position.
  • Dough Cutter pulls in matching Architectural White powder coating. The pulls are welded onto the door.
