The Horizon Door Design invites creativity. The center panel of this design is the primary area to fill with a unique material. Bold and balanced, this design contains both positive and negative space. Glass on the top and bottom of this center segment introduces natural light and visibility.

Wood is an outstanding material to be used in the center segment of the Horizon Door Design. As the dominant material, wood creates a warm and organic effect. Wood is welcoming and adds a touch of intimacy to the home entryway. Washed Teak Wood is the species used in the image above. This species contains beige and tan tones that bring out the grain of the wood. Only solid hardwood is used on our front doors and therefore will never delaminate. When incorporating wood into their front door, clients may pick from our selection of hardwoods or provide their own wood. After receiving the client’s provided wood, we mill and sand it to the specifications of the project and ship it back to be finished by the client’s woodworker of choice. The simple segmented design of the Horizontal Door is the ideal opportunity to introduce creative door hardware. Door pulls work as a functional focal point. An optimal focal point is key given the importance of the front door on a home’s impression. A tactile and visual experience, hardware is an important detail to consider. The Round Faceted Pull is featured in the door design above. This pull and many others are available in a polished finish, creating a very different effect.

A consideration for many clients is using more than one pivot door across their project. After the front door has been designed, other key doors within the home are an opportunity to create consistency and elevate additional entryways.
