The Horizon Door Design consists of three stacked segments of alternating materials. This design combines metal, glass, and wood in a simple, yet sophisticated way. Wood is a popular option for the center segment, as portrayed in the pivot door above.

Pivot doors are typically composed of strictly glass and metal. However, we have integrated wood possibilities into all of our designs, challenging the pivot door norm. Wood is the optimal architectural material to introduce warmth and an organic touch. Additionally, wood is very different from glass and metal in its appearance and origin, making it stand out all the more. The wood species used in the pivoting door above is Teak. Teak Wood is a warm-toned species with flowing red and yellow tones. Wood makes an outstanding accent, especially in very modern and linear homes. We offer a variety of hardwoods such as Teak, Walnut, and Mahogany to our clients. However, clients may also provide their own wood to be used on their doors.

The simple, three-segment design of the Horizon Door invites creativity at every corner. Hand-sculpted hardware is a great option to add personality to the front door. The door pull is where we unite with the front door. Modern Steel Doors specializes in hand-crafted custom hardware that is both visually and tactilely intriguing. The door pull used in the Horizon Door Design above is the Round Crater Pull. This door pull is created by pounding hundreds of craters into the face of the metal and is also available in a polished finish.
